At Zion, we believe in life-long learning. Education opportunities are available for people of all ages. The goals of our Christian education program are “to learn, to think, and to live the Christian story” (Nessan, Craig L. Beyond Maintenance To Mission: A Theology of the Congregation. • Sunday School and Vacation Bible School are for our youngest learners—age 3 through 5th grade. Click here for more information.
• Confirmation is for 6th-9th graders. Click here for more information.
• Life-Long Learning for Lutherans offers classes for adults throughout the Northeastern Iowa Synod. Zion regularly hosts these classes, making it convenient for those in West Union and the surrounding area to attend. The courses are produced by SELECT, a video based continuing education program with course presentations by professors from various ELCA seminaries. If you’re seeking to grow in your faith, this opportunity is for you.
