Senior High

Senior High ministry at Zion focuses on several faith-formative events that are offered annually. Each November, senior high students are invited to attend Church Youth Fest at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. The event features energized worship, interactive workshops, and the opportunity to connect with other senior high students. In March, we travel to the Grand River Center in Dubuque, Iowa for the Northeastern Iowa Synod Lutheran Youth Organization (LYO) Gathering. The event includes speakers, workshops, music, prayer, Bible Study, worship, and free time at the hotel’s 25,000-square-foot indoor water park on the banks of the Mississippi.

Senior High summer trips rotate on a 3-year-cycle with a service trip one summer, an adventure trip the next summer, and the National Youth Gathering the following summer. These trips are an amazing opportunity to step outside our comfort zones, focus on our faith, and be of service to God and God’s people.
